Description
The wine's generosity undoubtedly comes from the deep clay-limestone soils of Château de Thauvenay, located just above the Loire River, opposite Puyly.
2023 was indeed an atypical year, marked by particularly unstable summer weather. In the vineyards, our teams showed sacrifice and perseverance to protect the grapes from temperature fluctuations and water shortages. The result? A wonderful harvest, supported by excellent, balanced, round and fresh grapes.
Color: pale, green-golden.
Fragrance: A nose of ripe pear, peach, mango and melon. In this terroir, Sauvignon Blanc infuses itself with the many nuances of the individual plots to create an incredible palette of aromas.
Taste: Wonderful freshness, open attack, delicate taste of green and lemon, citrus fruits, aroma of green apple and kiwi. Minerality gives the wine a long finish, and softness and elegance are characteristics of all the producer's wines.
Aging: Fermentation in stainless steel vessels, followed by 5 months of aging in them, perfectly completes its full-blooded expression.
Serving temperature: 10°-11°
Food pairing: An exceptionally gastronomic wine – very enjoyable with or without food. Pairs well with seafood, asparagus, baked fish and goat cheese.
Storage potential: 3 years.
