It is perhaps the first Sangiovese to be aged in small oak barrels, the first modern red wine to use international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon in its blend, and among the first red wines from Chianti Classico to be produced without white varieties. The wine, originally called "Chianti Classico Riserva vigneto Tignanello", was first produced from a single plot of vines in 1970, the blend containing 20% Canaiolo and 5% Trebbiano and Malvasia and aged in small oak barrels. In 1971 the white varieties were eliminated and Tignanello became a red Tuscan table wine instead of a Chianti Classico. Since 1982 the blend has been the current one. Tignanello is only produced in favorable vintages and was not produced in 1972, 1973, 1974, 1976, 1984, 1992 and 2002.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":10132,"template":"","meta":[],"product_brand":[325],"product_cat":[451,456,111,124,78,79,74,94],"product_tag":[317],"class_list":["post-2373","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_brand-325","product_cat-sangiovese","product_cat-cabernet-franc","product_cat-italy","product_cat-marchesi-antinori","product_cat-types","product_cat-red-types","product_cat-cellars","product_cat-best-sellers","product_tag-sangiovese","pa_variety-122","pa_variety-123","pa_variety-125","pa_vintage-year-2010-bg","pa_wine-category-126","first","instock","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple"],"jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/enorama.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/2373","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/enorama.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/enorama.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/product"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/enorama.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/10132"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/enorama.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2373"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"product_brand","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/enorama.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_brand?post=2373"},{"taxonomy":"product_cat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/enorama.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat?post=2373"},{"taxonomy":"product_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/enorama.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_tag?post=2373"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
