The wine is designed to be enjoyed young and paired with food, but will also age well for over a decade. Dominus Estate, Yountville, California, was established in 1983 by Christian Moe. Located next to the famed Napanook Vineyard, it was the source of grapes for some of the best Napa Valley wines in the 1940s and 1950s. In fact, the vineyard’s history can be traced back to the beginnings of Napa Valley, when George Yount, for whom the town of Yountville is named, first planted vines there in 1838. Today, this historic vineyard produces three wines: Dominus, its flagship, Napanook and Othello. The vineyard is cultivated entirely without irrigation, allowing the vines to take full advantage of the unique geology of the land. Viticulture and winemaking are carried out with great care, with the aim of producing clean, balanced and complex wines. Minimal intervention during the selection, fermentation and ageing process of the grapes preserves the typical characteristics of the fruit. The resulting wines, with enormous ageing potential, convey the character of this historic vineyard. Renowned for its complexity and balance, Dominus demonstrates the potential of a wine produced in an exceptional terroir. Structured, expressive and perfectly integrated, Dominus is an elegant wine that improves with age.

Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc § Petit Verdot

Tasting characteristics:

[236,249

post-5451","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-california","product_cat-jean-pier-moet-estate-arg","pa_variety-122","pa_variety-123","pa_variety-156","pa_wine-category-126","first","instock","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
