Flexible to the nth degree, it exemplifies a new kind of modern Rioja.“ Altos Ibéricos is Familia Torres’ first venture into the Rioja region. This light, elegant and modern interpretation presents the essence of Tempranillo in all its beauty. The wine is made from 100% Tempranillo, mainly from Rioja Alavesa.

Color: Bright ruby color.
Fragrance: A tempting nose of red fruits with pleasant cherry notes.
Taste: Crianza offers a bright and contemporary red with soft and juicy tannins, uplifting aromas and a rich fruity taste.
Aging: Light aging in French and American oak for 12 months and then 12 months in bottle creates a well-rounded flavor and spicy nuances of clove, green pepper and toasted bread.
Serving temperature: 14°-16°
Food pairing: Altos Ibericos Crianza pairs well with almost any mild to medium spicy dish with chili peppers, such as chilli con carne. (Rioja goes well with Southwestern American food and American barbecue); saffron dishes such as paella or Moroccan tagines; cheese, especially hard sheep cheeses such as Manchego; many pork dishes, especially Spanish-style with beans. Chorizo and morcilla (black pudding) are good combinations, as are jamón (ham) and albondigas (meatballs); dishes with red peppers and/or paprika or paprika.
