Edizione Cinque Autoctoni 21 0.75
Region: Abruzzo
Varieties: Montepulciano, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, Sangiovese § Primitivo
Description
Color: Bright ruby color.
Fragrance: A tempting nose of red fruits with pleasant cherry notes.
Taste: Very intense and persistent aftertaste, with notes of cherry and blackcurrant, herbs, cinnamon, cloves, cocoa and mineral notes. Great structure, good balance between alcohol and freshness, velvety tannins and a long finish; ready to drink now, but can age for a long time.
Aging: The grapes are pressed and destemmed before maceration and fermentation, which lasts 25 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new oak barrels, of which 60% are American and the rest are French. The wine is aged separately in American 60% and French oak 40% for 12 months. The varieties are blended immediately before bottling to create a rich and powerful, yet extremely complex wine.
Serving temperature: 14°-16°
Food pairing: Great with Spaghetti Bolognese, baked
lamb, young veal and simply cooked red meats.
Storage potential: up to 10-15 years.
