Description
Tasting characteristics:
Created by the interaction between the Antinori family's experience and the demonstrated high viticultural quality of a given territory, Franciacorta, the "Classic" - Marchese Antinori Cuvée Royale, Rosé and Blanc de blancs - are produced from a selection of Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco grapes. The Montenisa estate is located around the village of Calino, near Lake Iseo in the heart of the Franciacorta appellation. The vineyards around the Maggi family's own villa have been the heart of the production of Marchese Antinori Franciacorta since 1999. The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle and the wine remains on its lees for 24 months before disgorging. The nose is aromatic and decisive in terms of individuality and is characterized by the unmistakable aromas of dried wildflowers attributed to the character of Pinot Noir. The taste shows a spicy freshness in perfect balance with the structure of a wine with noticeable harmony and elegance. The balance and harmony of this rosé make it a perfect accompaniment to a dinner of seafood and shellfish, pigeon or white meat in general. Its versatility makes it an interesting match for desserts with berries or slightly bitter chocolate.
