Grapes Pais
Almost 500 years ago, the first vines in Chilean history arrived, brought by brave men who overcame the obstacles of rivers and mountains. It was a special type of vine, known in Spain as Listan Negro, in the colonies of the New World called Mision, and in Chile as Pais. This variety is grown in dry areas with humility, hard work and dedication by small winegrowers who have passed down their land from father to son for generations. In 1850, the first French vines were introduced to Chile, pushing Pais aside and even sending it into oblivion with an uncertain future. The salvation of the oldest Chilean grape variety gives birth to Santa Digna Estelado Rosé, a unique sparkling wine, 100% Chilean, a reward for the land and its people. Santa Digna Estelado through the traditional method of second fermentation in the bottle. The first sparkling wine made from the Pais variety has its own personality.
