Description

Château de Beaucastel has long been considered one of the greatest wines in France. It is renowned for its elegance, balance and aging potential. Beaucastel has an exceptional terroir on the northern border of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, exposed to the mistral wind. All thirteen varieties of the appellation have been grown organically since the 1960s.

Color: Almost black in color.
Fragrance: The nose is very delicate and at the same time strong, with red fruits, blackcurrant, blueberry, spices, thyme and lavender.
Taste: The bouquet is very elegant, rich and full of figs, cherries, blackcurrants and stewed fruits, all with wonderful acidity. The tannins are present but very delicate.
Aging: Entirely hand-harvested, the wine ferments at a controlled temperature and ages in oak barrels for 12 months.
Serving temperature: 14°-16°
Food pairing: Great with Spaghetti Bolognese, roast lamb, young veal and simply cooked red meats.
Storage potential: up to 20-30 years.
